OnCars.com is Now Live, Delivering Broadcast-Quality, Original Automotive Videos and Content

Jay Penske names OnCars as Mail.com's premier content partner for new 'Autos' section. ALISO VIEJO, Calif., June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- OnCars.com, which launched on May 19, provides original broadcast-quality automotive video through its dedicated website. OnCars' debut is well-timed to coincide with the industry-recognized need for high-quality online video that delivers
emotionally engaging entertainment.
"OnCars.com was created by and for people who love cars, appreciate design and crave technology," stated Paul Pfanner, founder, President and CEO of the new automotive channel. Each week, OnCars.com will premier an original multi-episode review of a "buzz-worthy" new car. "This is the cornerstone of our commitment to post a new and original automotive video every weekday," he continued.

"Our approach is three-fold: OnCars.com is about moving cars, moving stories and moving the viewer. We believe the best way to convey the emotional proposition present in every car is with beautiful video produced by world-class creative talent. I am confident that OnCars.com will become the leader in creating and delivering the most entertaining and influential automotive video reviews -- supported by text and still images -- to multiple online and mobile media audiences," Pfanner added.

Pfanner and OnCars co-founder Bill Sparks, both of Pfanner Communications, bring nearly 30 years of automotive journalism, content development and marketing experience to the new entity. They are joined by partner and co-founder Jay Penske, who also heads Mail.com Media Corporation, a global digital media company. Penske, who has founded a number of successful technology and web-based content businesses, commented on the launch: "We intend to make OnCars the world's most compelling
automotive-related content producer." Penske added, "Effective immediately, OnCars.com will also provide the unique foundation for the content in our Mail.com portal's new 'Autos' section."

OnCars.com showcases Emile Bouret (Road Test and Design Editor) and Jeremy Shaw (Motorsports Editor). Both hosts have many years of experience in the automotive field. Bouret, a graduate of Art Center College of Design, is an automotive designer and a professional driver; Shaw, whose
journalistic credentials span many of the world's most prominent automotive publications, is also a noted TV and radio commentator. These two editorial experts and other talented individuals (to be announced soon) are led by Creative Director and Executive Producer Rick Graves, one of the world's
leading automotive photographers and cinematographers, who oversees the development of all videos that will showcase the automotive industry's most exciting new vehicles.

In addition, joining OnCars.com as one of the website's partner companies, is Lingner Group Productions. Founder Terry Lingner is well-known among automotive enthusiasts as an Emmy Award-winning producer of motorsports and automotive television programming. Lingner Group's
"Innovative" division, led by Conrad Piccirillo, developed OnCars' elegant web site and video player in collaboration with Pfanner Communications. Innovative also handles video postproduction for OnCars.

Mail.com Media Corporation (MMC) is a leading digital media company that owns and operates the Mail.com portal and a growing number of essential online content destinations. The company also provides a suite of private-label services to consumers through its relationships with top
affinity brands and their websites.

Autobytel CEO Jim Riesenbach On New Frontiers in Search

In March 1995, Autobytel.com went live as the first online car-buying site. At the time, dealers had concerns about sharing what was, until then, closely guarded pricing information or, worse, being shut out of the vehicle distribution process altogether. But what was good for the consumer ultimately proved to be good for the dealer — and the rise of the automotive Internet paved the way for unprecedented sales and a world of new, low-cost dealership marketing opportunities.
